With \footnote in the title section, the number will be too big.
A better format is like this:

\chapter [Short or Full Title (mandatory)] {Full Title {\Large $^{FootnoteNumber}$} }
\label{Label}

\setcounter{footnote}{FootnoteNumber}
\footnotetext{Footnote}

Wonderful. I used it to put a footnote on the title of a \subsection inside a \chapter and it works!

Really helpful, especially the noted times. A group of high school students, we are planning to climb May 31 and have been really worried about how long the route is this year. Looks like it may be doable in a VERY long day by the end of the month.

Wow am I impressed with your journalism and photos. How on earth do you get so much done. I hardly have time to unpack before I am packing again.
